Isaiah is at the front of the old testament profits. He speaks here to Jerusalem's king Hezekiah of the greatness of God. Jerusalem had recently been delivered from the king of Assyria when one angel struck 185,000 warriors in their camp one night. Prophecy critics belong to two schools. One that warns of taking scripture too literally and the other not literally enough.
