HARD GOLDCUP CORAL POLYPS INDONESIA BANDA SEA------------------------------- Gold finger is not the man with the golden gun, but a flower in Neptunes garden. These coral polyps look rather uninteresting during the day; note the retracted polyp in the lower left of this image. When dusk begins to fall they bloom like flowers, extending soft golden fingers to collect food from the ocean currents. They will grow across a wall by the thousands, creating a sea of golden blooms for the eye to feast upon.
