This is a portrait of my beautiful Scottish friend, Nyree... It was done on a wood board that had some very porous "holes" in the grain... those are the awful marks you see going down her face... I painted it with Golden Liquid acrylics... She has a straw in her mouth, and notice how she gazes right at the viewer of the painting :)

A really great portrait and I think the texture of the wood showing gives it an extra dimension :o))Anneke Hut 04 Jun 2008
What a beautiful lively portrait. The holes in the grain is good, looks very real, like she has been crying.
