The rose has been Lord & Taylor's iconic symbol since the 1940's. This contest was held to give independent artists a chance to create the design that would adorn their bags, boxes, gift cards, etc. for the 2009 campaign. I actually did a couple of designs, but could only submit one. This is a different direction from the norm for me, but just as fun to create!! Thanks for viewing!!~ S
