Pastel on Canson Mi-Teintes, 12" x 18". This is my latest work, it is a commission for a friend's daughter 'Tcherina'. She took the image herself using a cell phone camara in low light. She sent many images but I felt this one had more drama and also shows her in a more natural pose. It has a quirky feel to it as I have been faithful to the ref-image, as she took the photo at and angle and probably a little too close for the lens it has given a slight distortion. I liked the effect and I feeel it produced a far more interesting image. I hope she likes it.
