This is another before there was photoshop image. The process for this was to block out half of your lens shoot an image, cover the other part of the lens shoot the same subject and then process the film ,put the two pieces of half film together , this gave me the canopy foliage. I printed this on a enlarger while blocking out space below. Then in another enlarger I placed another image and printed it in the space that was blocked out. A lot of work for what now a days photoshop and layers can do a much better and easier job.
