Various religious imagery interspersed with fantastical components. Acrylic on stretched canvas. I did this as sort of a reaction to a discussion about women's place (or lack thereof) in the Bible and a general contempt Christianity holds towards women.

The composition is great. If you read Proverbs 18:22 , Ephesians 5:25-33 it is clear what the Bible stands for. Respectfully, AD

Artist Reply: Excellent passages, and I know them well. But they're still written from a masculine perspective, and insinuate that a woman needs to be taken care of in the first place. "Husbands love your wives; wives 'respect' your husbands." I think love and respect should be mutual exchanges, and that's just my opinion. I realize not everyone agrees with me :) Thank you very much for the comment, I appreciate it deeply!
