Fanning out against the background of the sky, these beautiful palm trees are made all the more dramatic by this unusual perspective. Since palm trees are very tall, I wanted to create a sense of intimacy with one of nature's most beautiful creations. Most of the time we view palm trees from a distance or from a parallel viewing plane. I wanted to shoot this photograph from an angle to capture the majesty of the palms. I highlighted the colors against the background of a mauve sky to enhance their intrinsic beauty and to create a luminescent image.
