About this symbol of peace and freedom,
expressive, simple and divine:
This probably is the smallest collage I ever made (5"x7"); it's an oil and I used mixed media.
I love the rich combination of Burnt Sienna and Indian yellow.
I even added some gold- and copper leaf to add richness of this peace bringer.
Did you notice the reoccurring use of music notes in my work?
(I think it gives this piece/peace an extra dimension!)

I like the -s p e e d - this small oil/collage seems to have.
Everything is moving in this painting,
in which I tried to capture the nature of the symbol.
Enjoy!

Materials used:
Chinese newspaper, vintage music sheet, sisal, heavy gloss gel,
modeling paste, copper- and gold leaf, oil paint.

Text lyrics:
Place without a name
Under a burning sky
There's no milk and honey here
In the land of God
Someone holds a sign
It says we are human, too
And while the sun goes down
The world goes by

White dove fly with the wind
Take our hope under your wings
For the world to know
