Perfect capture of a young child's innocence and curiosity about the world

Artist Reply: Thanks, Sarah. Kind words coming from an accomplished artist like you. This work was done from a photo her mother supplied. I liked the lighting, especially the way light caught the eyelashes on her far eye, but in the photo you cannot see what she's looking at. I added the stick and caterpillar to strengthen the painting's story. Dan

This is so well done. The eyes jump out at you and in all honesty I could see something like this being used by a childs product for advertisement it is so remarkable.
