Polly Herron Alessi was my oldest and dearest friend. She was murdered by her husband in front of 4 kids; her son, her nephew, and my two daughters. Her brother was maimed as he tried to protect his sister and the children. I arrived a few minutes later. This was submitted as a victim's impact statement at Tim Alessi's sentencing in 2002. He was convicted of premeditated first degree murder/attempted murder and was sentenced to all of his natural life in jail with no parole. 5'x 5' acrylic on canvas

I am her son, Joey Alessi. I was not aware this picture was posted. This art is incredible. My mother was incredible. She touched many people. It is my biggest sorrow that the earth is without her today. I know hat she is looking down at me from Heaven and smiling. I am happy to say I was adopted by two wonderful people and am now 20 years old and engaged. God is so good!Anonymous Guest 31 May 2011
Ginger, Polly was my Mother's half sister. I personally never met her but I've heard many good things about her. I cringe when I think of this Monster still breathing. This piece is amazing and tells a story that I think many people don't think happens as often as it does.Anonymous Guest 09 May 2009
