Jerry's Lighthouse 4/4

Still making changes on Jerry's Lighthouse. The water seems better to me with this shoreline... I am still uncertain but getting closer to finishing. What do you think? Also this week I turned 54 so I put up 54 auctions on Ebay at $.99 each should you like to take a peek and see if there is anything you might like! My user name is 'avehurleyillustrations' on ebay... http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZavehurleyillustrations

I like this very much Ave. Possibly the 2 rocks in the water are a bit equal in size....perhaps a very small piece of rock near one of them - I would suggest to the left and under the front one - would improve the overall composition... but don't listen to me unless you feel I'm right! It's a really lovely painting. Happy birthday belatedly...

Artist Reply: Hi Ann~ I see what you are saying here. I have done several variations of this painting before the final copy.I may have one without the rocks there still.I must have changed this painting 8 times before fiishing it,lol .. thats the only problem when not painting a 'real' place.

this is most awesome

Artist Reply: Thankyou Jamie~ A few more details to the light and ground and hopefully I will be done. The tones in this pic are a a little more 'green' than the painting due to the lighting in the room but trying to make it a believable scene has been challenging.

oh AVE what a beautiful painting, such awesome detail and brilliant blue

Artist Reply: Thankyou Joanna~ it is almost finished. I am finally satisfied with the water and shoreline as compared to the earlier version, but still working on the 'light'.
