Asian Landscape

This abstract evolved from a photograph of a rock wall in the Topanga State Forest. The rocks had a myriad of colors, textures and images that compelled me to focus on the fascinating scene. Before taking the photograph, I perceived a small illustration that appeared to be a sitting Buddha in the middle of the photograph. Viewing the beautiful contrasting colors and images, my imagination took flight. On the left I perceived a sacred mountain village. Painted on the the rock mountain is a mystical figure who was believed by the villagers to have healing powers. To his right is an orange mountain lion, one of many creatures that inhabit this magical region. I also love the landscape, especially the beautiful blue waterfall on the far right that is a stream emanating from a beautiful lake that lies back in the hills. I have other photographs of the landscape of this spiritual village and am interested in your projections onto this magical landscape.
