I had a yearling come right up to me on our land in the mountains last year and one time a yearling came right up to our parked car searching for apples. I was also able to walk up to over a dozen deer at Peaks of Otter in Virginia last year. They weren't in captivity either! The buck was a little more cautious though! He watched over the deer from the woods while I took photos of them! I believe this photo was taken on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
