The Angel

I though it might be fun to post the finished illy of this angel that's appearing in a children's Bible Story Book that I'm in the midst of illustrating - challenging project - this is the Angel that appears to shepherds tending their flocks by night. I'll post some of the others over the next weeks - great project - good one of which to be a part ~:0)

Good job...keep cranking out those Biblical illustrations.

Artist Reply: Thanks Harry it was part of a great project... though it's mixed with a bit of cruel irony - when one creates a visual realm where one wishes to be and yet it's a two-dimensional representation superlative to our own --- in essence a Super-Reality - stay with me on this. The judicious distortion in this imagined world imparts just the modicum of change that grants hope to the viewer that there is space-time in which one's efforts are recognized and a certain glee is granted by God smiling down on His creation - and our own humble efforts... sniff' - puts me in mind of me own sheep station back home and me old mum there with her giant 45 on her hip, pot-shotting the occasional jackaroo to keep his distance (she still is a handsome woman and the dandies do come around to her public dismay - though I do suspect she enjoys the visits - gives her a reason to clean her gun - Ha!) and then there's the random dingo which she'll bullseye. Makes me kinda lonesome for the old Back Beyond the Bourke... Sad and bewdiful all at once, if ye catch me drift - thanks Harry, been a long time since I've been back to The Alice - spend a lot of time in North and Central America of late - made me fat, lazy and soft - though I do love a good tortilla ~:0) BTW - the book I'm recommending to everyone these days is "The Shack" by William P. Young - it's a work of fiction, but has put a lot of people in-touch with their relationships that are most important - you'll be so glad you read it ~:0)

NOW THIS ROCKS CHAS, EXCELLENT WORK

Artist Reply: Thanks Gavin - angels - who knows what thas about, but I do know this - we've all seen 'em, because they often work either unseen or looking like Burt's yer Uncle - mysterious and yet reassuring in some ways - any of us who've lived long enough to have endured the impossible suspect there is more for us to do... whatever doesn't do yer in makes you glad to be hanging around to pitch in - whoo-hoo!! ~:0)

i have a few angel pics in the works myself. i love them because i feel i can be a little more creative than when doing a "regular human." i can add that little something extra and it wont seem out of place at all. great job

Artist Reply: Funny thing about angels BB - I am told they can look like anybody, though none resemble me, I do have me aspirations! Thanks for the visit - don't be a stranger ~:0)

Amazing work, I love Angels. Wonderful soft Glow and Power, the heart halo is fantastic! . May all the Goodness of the Heavens Bless you with this project. and flood yoour life with the truth of pure love eternal. Wow! Neat, Chas!!! Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my little shot of my niece, Bonnie, she is sweet, funny and very creative and did have a call from a model agency but her Mom decided to not follow through. Maybe later, maybe not, I don't know. All that matters is that she is loved and cherished for who she is. I appreciate the time you took to come to visit me. I will pray that you are kept safe in the arms of the Angels. Live Forever Love Always. Sinseerly CB
