Red Squirrel

Red Squirrel feeding from a bird feeder. Because I don't have a DSLR I don't have a quality zoom lens (only 3X zoom). I decided that I'd try an experiment and placed a pair of Binoculars over the lens of my compact. When I positioned it correctly and held it still it seemed to work quite well. This is the technique I used to take this photograph and I think you'll agree it was a worthwhile experiment.

A nice experiment.. I'd say it worked out very well, a lot better than I would have expected :) Cute little bugger :)

Artist Reply: I agree Angie it worked much better than I thought it would too, just some minor tweeking in photoshop to complete the photo. Regards Andy s

How cute is this most people don't like when they have squirrels but I love to watch thme this one has such grand colors nice capture

Artist Reply: Sadly the Red Squirrel is in decline over here because of the dorminant Grey Squirrel. The Red being the native is well liked but the Grey does not have the same appeal. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment they are always appreciated. Regards Andy S
