Reaching for a Rainbow

Acrylic on paper. I woke and attempted to reach for the stars. Again. I always refuse to accept the distance as being an obstacle. I opened my hand and waited for energy. The pulse never came. "I give up," I shouted to the moon, which still hung over the misty dawn light. My arms, still empty, embraced a rainbow that spun into the room. "This will do just fine," I said to the cat, who stared up at me with indifference.

Embracing a rainbow is a very powerful thought. Mankind should do this more.

an illustration of the artist heart with a verbal verse of delightful description... Glad to view this on a Sunday morning - it's inspirational!

I love the description as much as the painting. They are both very beautiful, John.
