©Delores J. Knowles 2008 -- The White Ibis (Eudociumus Albus) is one of the most numerous wading birds in the southeast United States. Its most noticeable characteristics are the red face, long curving red bill, and beautiful blue eyes. The sun was just rising and the Ibis was still in that wonderful glow of daybreak when nature looks so splendid. Photographed at Lake Harris in Lake County, Florida.
