Van Etton Creek in winter

This photograph was taken in my inlaw`s front yard in Oscoda, Michigan. I wanted a summer and winter view of the creek, and did an oil painting of both versions. I sold the summer painting, and gave the winter one to my inlaw`s as a gift.

Artist Reply: Thank you! It was sad when my M I L sold that house after my hubby`s stepdad passed away. The lovely view came with a price. The bank was eroding, and she could not keep up with the expense of keeping it maintained, so she sold the house.
