'NOBOB BEECH TREES

Nobob KY. is a small village located in Barren County. The legend of how Nobob was named states that there was a man named Bob who disappeared. When those who searched for Bob returned home, they would say "No Bob!" In the picture you can see the "Nobob Tree",it is two beech trees connencted together by a common limb that forms the letter N! You can also see the initials WRB MR7 1909 on another beech tree-which were discovered by the author of "BUFORD,THE MOUSE", JOANNE SNEED CRAWFORD in jan. 2005.After a lot of research she found out that the initials belonged to William Robert "Robin Redbreast" Boyter-june 5,1856-feb.7,1914.He froze to death after getting lost in a snowstorm... Illustrations requested by the author will now be avail. at this site and for more info. about her books-please e-mail me. NOW,THE PAINTING itself has very vivid autumn colors that can not be seen' on this "UNTOUCHED/UNENHANCED scanned picture.ArtWanted.com has its' own program that will make your print immaculate!

Beech trees need competition such as oak or another it can compete with. It is however a lovely painting and I know JoAnn the author of the book this was probably painted for. She is a special person. WRB was a local to Nobob. EC
