Portrait of a Sami Cat

This native Sami Cat, most likely an ancient subspecies of a lynx, was painted by Felix Fiigenschou in 1632 wearing the traditional costume of the Sami tribe of Lapland. According to Felix´s diary, he spoke with a foreign tongue and started singing an obnoxious native type of yodeling, called joik. Humans in this province of Norway still perform this type of singing, however we assume the cat joik was very different to the modern human joik. Sold.
