This work (I think) could be considered either a painting or a sculpture (or both). Much of the work was created with rubber bands, fish rocks, twigs, ribbon and hot glue. On the other hand, in order for the background and much of the in between or on anything was done with paint. Anyways, this piece addresses how I feel about universal understanding. I feel we will never truly understand how everything works; and in our attempt to understand the understandable, we destroy what we already know about in efforts to understand the unknown. Everything in this works seems to be spiraling into a hole in the canvas symbolizing exactly how we are spiraling in a chaos unique to ourselves.
