A pixie, I am trying to learn watercolors and it is not easy. I have a new respect for watercolor artists. Every time I try watercolors I learn something new. The big lesson in this one? Use paper that won't ripple when wet ( notice the ripples in the entire work ) lesson #2 : Careful using the black paint, it doesn't always give the effect of shadow and it can take over the picture.
