The mighty Raven given his last breathe by Emyra, an angel, the leader of the Light world. If you haven't noticed yet, I'm creating characters opposed to today's fantasy standards. In fact, my dark characters are the nicest ones and those coming from the light, the badest one. It's also a way to express my philosophy of life; to never judge a person by its clothing style or origins. In my novel, the shadow world is greatly stereotyped as the evil state of all the planet. In fact, they have done nothing to deserve this worldwide status. This is one of the biggest scene in my novel where Raven fights Emyra in a hand-to-hand combat. She is stronger than he thought; Emyra is actually able to casts spells - light spells. She had also hidden in her armory many little knives and swords that resulted into defeating Raven. Quite unfair, I know. And Amy, his 17 years old's servant, cries his failure. She's pretty close to Raven. He's the only man who offered her a life. If she had to lose him, she'd be lost. 'What happens next?' Darkness awakes. I think it says everything. © Kate
