Body of a Man

The sculptural forms of trees never cease to amaze me. I often see anthropomorphic images before I shoot the photograph. I was impressed by the beauty of the human form as reflected in this tree. Anatomical features are displayed in an abstract image among a grouping of tree limbs. The body of a man is revealed in a curvilinear form central to the tree's structure.

Your great eye for the unusual never seem to stop! Thanks for sharing!!

Artist Reply: Thanks again Olga for your wonderful comment. My mind's eye is not that attuned to the usual and that applies to every area of my life.

Perfect image, Julie!!! Seem's Travolta on Saturday's night fever... but without clothes!!!! :-)))

Artist Reply: Alberto, That is very true. He does have a similiar body structure when he did Saturday Night Fever and Grease. This was before he gained weight and now is playing a very heavy woman in the remake of John Water's Hairspray!! The original movie is a cult classic and Divine who played the role of Travolta and who acted in many of John Water's films was amazing in the role. The remake cannot compare to the original. I did not expect to do a critical review of the film. Thanks for the compliment and I am sure John would be very flattered by this "man's body.

you have a great eye for detail, love this shot Julie!

Artist Reply: Thanks Annette for you comment. I could have titled the piece John Travolta after reading Alberto's very funny observation. John did pose like the tree in Saturday Night Fever and Grease. Now I will find a photo of John as a very overweight woman in Hairspray. There are many obese trees in Los Angeles. :) I will name the photo Divine after the actor who played his role in the original movie.

Wonderful shot, Julie! You have a very good eye and a fantastic imagination! As you know, I share your passion for sculptural forms of trees.

Artist Reply: I do know Lili. Do you share a passion for trees of nude adult males? LOL.
