Acrylics on paper. Kildavnet castle on Achill Island, Co. Mayo. One of several towerhouses around Clew Bay that were strongholds of the Pirate Queen Grace O'Malley. An amazing woman who was centuries ahead of her time! I've made the background quite hazy to draw attention to the little boat and beach rocks in the foreground.
