Grandma's Hands

This picture means a lot to me, even if it means nothing to you. My grandmother was explaining to me that a fig is the only fruit that blossoms on the inside, and then proceeded to pull it apart so I could see. That is where this picture came in. My grandma and my mom would always tell me stories about going out and picking figs off the fig tree and sitting outside on the river as they ate fresh figs watching the sun set. So this picture holds many memories for many generations, and THAT is why I think this picture is the greatest one I've ever taken, if not the most meaningful. Those sunsets they would watch, might not be the same now, but any Virgina sunset photo is taken from the same spot that they would sit and watch the sunset. I'd say they were pretty lucky eh?
