This piece is my sort of impressionist interpretation of a spot along Duke's Creek located outside of Cleveland, GA located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. This particular place is part of a piece of land that has been in my family for a long time and holds a sort of "nature retreat" importance to me. The imposing tree cover gives you a feeling that you are hidden from everything while the rays of sunshine that break through reveal the tranquil creek itself.
