Illumination may be viewed as a 'mental illness', both by the Illumined as well as their family and acquaintances. The moments following Illumination are extremely urgent to the well being of the experiencer. Upon acceptance of the Illumination, modification can proceed. It may take years before reconciliation occurs within the soul, which is part of the acceptance of the movement of Spirit. Growth within is a necessary and natural event, allowing the 'God' part of the brain to coalesce with the rest of the functioning parts of this vital component, using synapses to distribute the knowledge throughout. When this is allowed, the flame of the candle no longer resides in the midst of a hurricane, but rather takes its place within the protective circle of Spirit.
