This is #7 in "The Perfect Day" series, beginning with #210. Taken Nov. 4, 2004....The view from the top of the ridge overlooking Summit Lake is spectacular!! The heavy snow added to the amazing site, although getting there was more difficult than in the summer and fall. Many times we have come up here for lunch before continuing the 1 mile loop back to the lake shore. There is also a small trail, that goes off to the right, to a ledge overlooking the Carbon River Valley. But on this day it would have been a little tricky in the snow. The horizontal version of this first photo is already in my portfolio on page 1, the most visited photograph on my site and also the best selling locally. (A fall version of this view is on page 6.) Because of the road to the trailhead being impassable now, this may be the only way to see it for a long while. I hope it's not too long before the landslide is cleared and my husband and I can come here. He is looking forward to seeing this amazing place for the first time and I can't wait to return!!! Thanks for stopping by...I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving for those who celebrate it, and for others, may your coming holiday season be full of wonder and blessings!!!
