Digi Dollz

I love cloth primitive dolls have made many... I especially LOVE the large heads, misspaced eyes of the dolls. As a folk artist(not trained)getting both sides of a face to match is a daily struggle for me. It took about an hour or so to paint this. I aways feel I am cheating the art by not adding more elaborate details. I have a tad bit of ADD so it's like ok this one's done, on to the next. Still developing my craft with digital painting (also self taught)I love faces, everything else is window dressing. Does that make sense???? I have a hard time using the more advanced digital programs out there such as the posers 3d, which I love. These digi art works is simple in shape and style. Zoom is another digi doll, I call her the cheerleader! xoxo

Do you come up with these right off the top of your head?

Artist Reply: Robert, My characters have a mind of their own. I do not do any pre sketches. I do have a basic shape for instance and color scheme. They are as much as surprise to me as anyone else. I pretty much just wing it, keeps the work fresh. xoxox

Ok, you are on fire with this one. Has the quality of aura of something not of this world…something extraterrestrial. The soft use of lines and deep rich colours make this one a winner. Mystical and mysterious, the red piercing eyes bring this one over the top. Wonderful piece!

Artist Reply: Thank you Eric, Please check my sub galleries for more interestial art, there is lots more you might enjoy! xoxox
