Decorative Figure Study

17x14 Pastel on Paper A Birthday gift for Krystal. I have long held the "Decorative Figure" sculpture by Henri Matlsse in the high reguard as a vision of powerful, independent womenhood. These virtues immediately remind me of Krystal. I have taken the frontal view of the sculpture and rearranged the parts as a painting or study of the sculpture.
