to the anonymous poster... the beauty of fanfic is that it can adapted to the writer's idea. Nowhere in Rowlings' books does it say that they don't embrace Indian culture either.

i know she had an Indian name, but Rowlings never suggested that she is Indian, or that she practices any Indian religion or shows any aspect of their culture
