Brotherhood

When I am driving I often see something special that I want to photograph. I often bring my camera as a passenger and take photographs from my car. I have several interesting photographs that I shot in transit usually at a red light. I enhanced the colors of this surreal photograph to reinforce the magic of brotherhood both individually and collectively. I fantasize about a peaceful world that values unity, a world that serves as a counterbalance to the brutality and destruction that is pervasive in today's world. John Lennon's lyriics on his song Imagine reflect my hope for world harmony. I interpreted "the three way signal" as a metaphor representing the hope that people worldwide will choose to be proactive, not passive in their efforts to send positive signals to promote world peace. Change is possible if we act responsibly and take action to stop the destruction of our planet and the pervasive threat to our species by destroying our eco-system and wildlife. We are united when we choose to take a constructive path to rebuild what has been destroyed. The statue of the man and boy represent my hope for peace and global unity. "Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves. All things are bound together. All things connect." Chief Seattle
