Open Wide and say Ah!

We have a cottage on a lake that has a Common Loon family visiting us every year. They are such awesome, unique birds to hear and watch. They are very attentive to their offspring, feeding and guarding them from predators.

I have a similar piece with penguins! Yours looks more realistic...and great water! I struggle so hard with painting water!

what WAS anon. thinking? a flat head duck?! silly, silly anon. beautifully detailed LOON ann.(and the flatness of it's head is just right)
