Sunset Herd

This is done in acrylics. When we did critiqing in class all of the students agreed that the painting shed a feeling of loneliness upon the veiwer looking at it so I guess it portrays a lonely feel. The stallion stands alone watching his herd down below for danger as the sun sets behind the hills and the sky turns pink, red, orange, and blue. Vicky, the woman who's horse whom I did a portrait of, offered, just today, to buy it from me if I had for sale. She encouraged me to think about it. I said I didn't know how to price my artwork at all. So I'll ask my art teacher tomorow...as of now this picture was sold for a price of $35 on Friday, October 12, my first purchased piece.
