This is another tomato from my garden. It's an heirloom variety called Cherokee Purple. It was difficult capturing the purple-green undertones. The bottom was also challenging, since it had some idiosyncrasies. After I spent hours, meticulously getting it all down, I photographed it and then brushed the weirdness away. Sometimes it's better not to paint it exactly as you see it. "Cherokee Purple Heirloom Tomato", 6"x4", oil on deep, gallery-wrapped canvas. SOLD
