This restoration work was done on a copy of the original photo, so the copy was a bit fuzzy but it was all they had. The original photograph is about 80 years old. The client also wanted her eyes blue. Permission was granted to post these images
Susan, I think you did a wonderful job on my husband's grandmother's picture! she was 15 so it had to be taken in 1930. It was in her husbands wallet who died in 1963. The wallet was given to my husband, where I found the picture. She always called him by his last name, and he called her mother. So twas the husband who wrote mother. I have just been lurking a bit before I take my first class in Painter x in Sept, but I thnk you restoration is stunning! Good job! But, I sort of wonder, and the others may offer their opinaionl; there is something charming about the word 'mother' written across the top.as it tells us a family member was sorting photos.
But,maybe the daughter didnt want that left in?
