This is simply one of the best digitally produced pieces I've seen, Titta. It trully captivates. But may I interject something? I think that as we age we do not necessarily lose our wings. I think we are born with the ability to fly free but are taught that our wings do not exist, and so lose the ability to see and use them. When we are older and wiser some of us find them again and we soar as we did as children. I say 'some,' because not all of us grow wise with age, do we? :)
Artist Reply: Thank you so much for your splendid comment, Charles! I'm so pleased you seem to have understood so well what's happening in the picture; and you see beyond it. I totally agree with you about possibility to find new, maybe better than ever, wings - I'm sure the lady in the picture finds them during her long journey in the storming sea. --- Few words about the way I've produced this picture - I've just painted it in Painter and PS, using the brushes in quite the same way as I use them in traditional media. It's a digital painting, not photomanipulation at all.--- Thanks again for your words, Charles!
Titta, when I see artwork similar to this in mood, I can't help but wonder if it's personal. Not to be nosey, just out of concern. I hope it's not, and I think it is also awesome work!
Artist Reply: Thank you so much for your feedback, Carliss! I think that we always have to dig the emotions and feeling from inside ourselves to be able to paint them - but on the other hand, don't worry, this is just a painting. :-) Thanks again.
