The Sun Shines...At My Wools...

I'm working at the moment for Felt Making exhibition. For this exhibition I take shots of the process itself. Here are 2 shots taken in my studio to show parts of the process (June 07).This kind of artwork is done from 99% Marino Sheep Wool fibers...I actually paint with fibers. On the upper shot you can view part of the creation - the layer just before the last layer. The bottom shot show the second layer...or the first one ,after the base layer was done.More Felt making can be seen in my sub-gallery :Felt workart. To be continued...Have a sunny day...thanks for viewing & commenting my art...

Using the bare fibers as a form of stringy paint makes for an interesting and imangintive concept. You seem to come out with new yet simple ideas while the mainstream sticks with the status quo.
