The idea to this painting (part 1 of totally 5 paintings) was inspired by Kafka's story "In the Penal Colony". A traveler had been invited by the Commandant of a Penal Colony to attend the execution of a Soldier condemned for disobeying and insulting his superior. 2002, 5 paintings, each 70 x 200 cm
