Part of series of four that connect with one another... a personal challenge to get away from color. TUrns out that gray is a lot of fun! Copyright protected
hi Elizabeth,i really like your grey series,as its reflecting the visual experinece of yours, which you must have had at Moma...great work.regards sadaf hussain.
Artist Reply: LOVE modern art - but this came out of curiosity... to see if I could manage to keep color at a minimum.
Artist Reply: It was great volunteering at the MOMA SF in the 80's but really... my inspiration is EVERYWHERE. Everything I see goes into my brain and begins to percolate.
this series remind me of a great big information machine spitting out the news everyday. We feed it raw information and out comes The News shiny and clean just the way they like it. Great work- I wonder if I am close enough to go see one of your shows?
Artist Reply: Cedar Rapids Iowa. Is that close enough? The FOUR "Gray Period" paintings are currently on exhibit at the Chait Galleries Downtown in Iowa City, Iowa from now (6-1-07) for the next few months. See my website for other galleries that carry my work.
