Carrie, although I left AW, I just saw this artwork and want to comment on it. And since the comments are hidden, I would like to give an advice to you. Please don't be angry. In this work, looks like you're afraid of your skills. You're a talented artist; your hand is a powerful weapon in art. Don't be afraid, use it! In this work (perhaps the scanning isn't well calibrated) I think you're afraid and don't draw with powerful lines and colors. Use all the intensity of colors, create contrast. Make these flowers can float on a more dark green background and they'll come to live. I would love to have more rich level in English to explain it better but I think you'll understand it. Please, understand I wrote this with love :-) First of all, you're a talented artist; I only am an old an embittered veteran:-))) Hugs.
