Cello

My sister was a cellist and the cello will always be a part of my life. She taught me to listen to the sound of the cello in music...before I only heard the violins.

My brother went at 21. Your sister lives on through you.

Artist Reply: Bless you, Gordon...and so does your brother...in some way it is where we find inspiration...

BEAUTIFUL ART JUNE, AND BEAUTIFUL THAT YOU HAVE A SISTER TO SHARE WITH!

I played the cello for a long long time!!! WONDERFUL when art and music are mixed! My pic of the day!

Artist Reply: I hope you keep playing! My sister took it back up after a 15 year reprieve and just got better! Thanks!!

Your observation is so true which may say something about perception. Music is alot like life. We all play different parts but strive to hit the same notes. Unless we change our thinking we hear only what we want while what should matter gets lost in translation.

Artist Reply: Thank you so much for your thougthful insight. I appreciate your interpretation.

Marvelous work, June! The cello is said to resemble the human voice with its warm singing tone. I love very much the sound of the cello.

Artist Reply: Lili, you are so right. My sis played from the heart. The sound came from a place so deep inside that it muted all problems and brought so much peace.

wonderful work!

Artist Reply: Thank you, Karen. Melancholy should be the name of the piece, because I do so much miss the sound of her cello....
