I didn't know what to give my son for Christmas. Time was running out. I had no money to buy anything, so I knew I had to make it. I don't ever remember starting this project or making a conscious decision to do it. I just "found" myself totally involved in it. I don't even know what gave me the idea. The collage tells the story of his life from the day he came home from the hospital until Christmas. He is 36 years old now, so there was a lot to cram in. There are many more things I wanted to add, but time ran out, and to be honest, I don't think I could have found a place for anything else. It was a work of love. I had so much FUN doing it because I relived every one of those moments. I adored the look on his face as he looked at it and relived them too. It was cherished by him and by all who had the opportunity to see it and I hope it will be with him always as a reminder of the good things in his life.
