Alexandria, Louisiana has a longstanding vibrant Jewish community whose cemetery is located on the Pineville side of the Red River.

Hello David! How are you? Sorry to be so late with the comments but we've only just got back from Tunisia (visiting the grandchildren). This is a very interesting painting and a fascinating subject. I like the way you've handled the contrast of shadow and light and the solid shapes of the tombs. Mind you, those two tombstones in the foreground look as though Dracula and his vampires might be stepping out of them at any moment!! Only kidding!!!! I really like the way you handled the trees against the sky. The colors pop there, but somehow it reatins a flatness that accentuates the strong perspective. I always love seeing your work, David.
