Israel is celebrating today 59 years of independence. The photo was taken in the historic hall in Tel-Aviv in which the establishment of the State of Israel was proclaimed by David Ben-Gurion 59 years ago. Young visitors listen to the guide holding a copy of the Declaration of Independence. In the lower photo: my husband, Zeev, as a young journalist, is interviewing David Ben-Gurion, the first Prime Minister of Israel. The Interview took place in Tiberias in 1973, several months before Ben-Gurion passed away.
