(c)2007 Despite outrageous fuel prices at the pump,...my friends and I still get around to visiting other christian friends who are less fortunate than us. One of those friends lives at the California Veterans Home in Yountville. He's a veteran of the Korean War and has lived at "the base", as we call it, for over seven years because he now has his own room. We only take him out on short trips for several hours because of the gas price situation. He's about to celebrate his 79th birthday in April. This picture is from the front window of my old Dodge truck taken a year ago. Despite my title for this picture, residents of the area might wonder, "What overpass?". Hehe ,...a bit of trick photography going on here. Sorry,...just having a bit of fun. There is only one overpass to go under all the way from Vallejo to Yountville,...and this is not it. I don't like going under overpasses ever since I saw a photo of a half crushed car under one after a severe earthquake many years ago. And since you really can't feel an earthquake while driving on ground level roads, well, you can kinda get what I mean. If I could go around them,...I think I would. To ALL armed forces overseas and at home,...keep up the "good work"! :O)
