104x85cm The second part of the painting follows the protagonist on various journeys during the course of the day and is very different to the 1st painting. The main difference is scale and also subject matter. The first painting was more of a guide in trying out the cartoon format which I didn't really take full advantage of. This one is more accomplished than the first and the reason why my tutor pressed for a third painting in the series. I also like the fact that I left some of the boxes in void of oil colour - you can see the process of the charcoal drawings in regards to how I map out my paintings - and I like the juxtaposition of the colour and the black and white.
