This is a 12 X 16 oil on canvas painting of my Aunt Nancy when she was young. After her death, my nephew asked me to paint her picture "sometime". My reference picture was a 2 X 3 which I blew up. I presented it to him as a surprise! I hope you enjoy your visit to my portfolio! :) All comments are greatly appreciated and hugs to all that feel led to do so! :) May God bless you each and every day!!

I am the nephew and absolutely love this picture. I have it displayed in my dining room. It was a total surprise and much appreciated! I would love to know the "unsigned" person who knew my great aunt. Also I think it is time for a self-portrait--it would be like a picture of my aunt and grandmother--Ruth looks so much like her.Lisa Savoy 30 Mar 2007

There is something touching about the story and the portrait. I can always feel when the artist has some connection either with the person or the commissioner. You wanted to to a good job and it shows. It has that quality of an antique photo. It's so nice when artists immortalize their subjects. It's our little gift to humanity.Mary Lou Hodgson 15 Feb 2007
